Chelbie came out for the first time this past week and spent over an hour massaging my 23 year old semi retired AQHA show horse. He has typical older horse ailments and gets his stifle injected. The first time I worked him after the massage, it was like magic! He was moving so much more fluid and his extended trot was back to being like floating. I noticed a significant difference and will for sure use Chelbie in the future! It took him a bit to get used to her touching him all over (he’s not a horse that likes to be hugged on) but about half way through his head was hanging low and he was so relaxed!

Chelbie has been amazing for our horses. From the way she handles them to the results that we have seen, I have been thrilled to have her in the barn and extremely lucky to be sponsored by her. We have had horses in the program that I was sure were just destined to remain stiff to one side or need joint injections. Since she's been working on our guys, I've had horses come back from heavy workloads without flying lead changes that I thought for sure would require hock and/or stifle injections that have since started catching their changes without the injections- just Chelbie's talented touch! I've also had horses come in from other training barns that have been stiff and locked up that have quickly come out of their tightness and gotten extraordinarily light and responsive. My mare had developed issues with her back feet when she was being trimmed. I tried everything I could think of thinking it was "marish" behavior. Then I saw Southern Comfort Equine Massage tagged in a post. What could it hurt? I contacted Chelbie and arranged for her to come and try to help us out. She spent time talking to me about my mare and her issues, and then went to work. Not only did she spend a lot of time on my mare, but she found several issues that would cause her unease on the hind end. The next time my farrier cam out, he was amazed at how well my girl did when he worked on her back feet! He had never seen her so well behaved. Chelbie is one-of-a-kind. Her deep love of horses, as well as her incredible knowledge of all things equine, make her an invaluable part of any horse’s life. I firmly believe that she played an integral role in saving my mare’s life when she was diagnosed with a disc issue in her neck. Traditional vet care and medication was only doing so much to help stabilize her. After one visit from Chelbie, my little mare drastically improved. She was able to be weaned off of meds and was visibly more stable on her feet and more comfortable. 
I can not recommend Chelbie enough. She has worked on my old retired guys to help keep them limber (and they loooove it!) as well as my boarder who has chronic pain/arthritis issues. Roy is a 25 year old Quarter Horse who got into trouble following his pasture mates into the neighbor’s pasture. Roy was beaten up by the other horses. I found him covered with horse shoe prints and scratches from barbed wire, and he wasn’t bearing weight on his right hind leg....his X-rays revealed: Tibial Fracture, Lateral Collateral Ligament rupture, Cranial Cruciate Ligament rupture, Fibula Fracture, the report goes on...
3 weeks post accident, Roy is stiff and stressed being on strict stall rest.... his vet suggested massage therapy..........In comes Chelbie... she hit it off with Roy right away! It was comical the way they communicated. Her treatments made Roy less stressed, and he wasn’t “popping and cracking” with movements as much. I could notice a difference with each treatment, even his attitude improved. I could tell he felt better. We started out with weekly treatments, then bi- weekly, then monthly .... and now as needed.
Chelbie was helpful with answering my questions and making suggestions for enrichment and jello snacks, when Roy got emaciated. She was instrumental in Roy’s healing process, and always very supportive every step of the way!
 UPDATE: It’s been 18 months and Roy has done an amazing job healing! His doctors call him a miracle! He is back out in the pasture running, rolling, and playing! The other day, Roy picked up all his feet for the farrier! He weighs 1098 lbs!
