Originally from south Mississippi, Chelbie now resides in Nashville, TN. She has an extensive background in veterinary medicine, working with both large and small animals. Chelbie combined her deep love of horses and extensive knowledge of both anatomy and physiology into her career as an equine massage therapist. Her background in veterinary medicine gives her a deeper understanding of equine medical conditions and how to approach them. In 2010, Chelbie attended one of the oldest schools for equine and canine massage and received her certification in both Equine Sports Massage and Canine Massage Therapy. Chelbie also joined the International Association of Animal Massage Therapists as a member upon completion of her studies at Equissage, Inc.
Chelbie has had the pleasure of working with many different breeds and disciplines throughout her career in both veterinary medicine and as a massage therapist. Each horse is treated with the same respect and attention. She is always willing to go the extra mile so that her clients can both feel and perform their best after each massage. Each horse Chelbie has worked with in the past has given her the opportunity to learn and adapt to each one in its own unique situation. She's gotten to work with a lot of talented athletes at the Gulfport Winter Classic in Gulfport, MS, a few horses from the film "A Fine Step," barrel racers, fox hunters, hunter jumpers, 3 day eventing, weekend trail blazers, and many others. She looks forward to each and every visit with a new barn here in Nashville and the surrounding states she visits.
Chelbie is always looking for ways to further her knowledge of equine anatomy, massage, and veterinary health by attending veterinary continuing education seminars as well as furthering her knowledge in equine massage with advanced courses.
